Third day of the trip, we went to Kurobe dam and Wasabi farm.
My mother was scared of height, so we didn't try to walk there.
It's memorial. Some people died for that dam long time ago.
Here was 14C(57F), outside was 30C(86F)
If you want to know more about that, check this,
Kurobe Dam (Wikipedia in English)
And then we went to Wasabi farm.
Wasabi needs clean water.
This is wasabi Korokke (deep fry)
Wasabi softcream, but not spicy
I am sorry, I couldn't wait to take the pictures. Those look messy.....but it was goooood!
we were going to eat soba there, but it seemed to be quite expensive....so drove to Matsukawa. It's kind of a parking area for local people.
And then we went back to Niigata from Nagano. We were really tired. At first we were going to stay in niigata again, but if we do so, we might have to drive for 6 hours next day. that's why we decided to take a ferry instead of driving for a long time.
I didn't expect there were huge, like a castle!
This ferry was from Tsuruga (敦賀), Fukui and going to Tomakomai (苫小牧), Hokkaido via Akita. All these cars are for Akita. I have never seen cars parked straight.
